What is
Agoraphobia? It begins with
an initial panic attack. This
anxiety attack causes physical
symptoms that are alarming and
uncomfortable. Usually the
agoraphobic has no idea the awful
symptoms could possibly be related
to anxiety. As a natural response to
this experience, the person begins
to avoid the place where the anxiety
attack occurred. As the panic
attacks increase, the agoraphobic
begins to avoid an ever widening
circle of places or situations.
